Hot Wire Jigs

A precision jig for accurately stting the Proxxon Hot Wire Cutter wire angle. It is graduated in 2deg increments. The jig comes pre-sanded and lacquered to a smooth working surface finish. It is supplied flat packed for self assembly.

These jigs can create hundreds of XPS foam bricks easily in minutes!!!
They are supplied flat-packed ready for easy assembly ( PVA or Super Glue is recommended for a longer-lasting sturdier item).
This jigs have been designed to work with the Proxxon hot wire cutter, but will work on any foam cutter with a wire diameter of 0.2mm or less.
These quality jigs are made from Medite Premium quality 3mm MDF because of its stability compared to plywood (which can warp).

This precision laser cut jig is built from Medite Premium grade 6mm MDF. The jig locates into the Proxxon guideway to provide a solid, accurate fence to cut from. The jig has a slot cut into the upright so that the Proxxon slide hot wire angle can be adjusted to suit. It is available in 2 versions. The fully assembled version is supplied sanded, sealed, and the vertical face lacquered for a smooth sliding action. The kit of parts version is supplied straight from the laser cutter for self-assembly and finishing. For international orders, only kits only can be posted.

The jig is used in conjunction with a straight fence on the proxxon Hot Wire Cutter for cutting accurate and repeatable tapers on foam columns, sloped walls etc, Offered as fully finished jig, or as a kit of parts for self-assembly and finishing.

Ths precision jig can cut large and small shapes from supplied templates. There are 6 formers to each template for cutting 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 sided figures. Made from MDF this can be supplied fully finished or as a kit of parts direct from the laser cutter for finishing and self-assembly. For international orders, only kits can be supplied

For all model makers who require accurately cut angles in their foam board, this add-on for the Proxxon Hot Wire foam cutter is a perfect addition to their accessory collection. This precision laser cut jig is built from Medite Premium grade 6mm and 4mm MDF. We use MDF because of its smooth surface and overall stability on different environmental conditions The angle is adjustable using the locking butterfly nut. Supplied as an unfinished kit ( straight from the laser), a pre-finished kit (exposed parts have been sanded for a cleaner look, and the third option is a fully assembled model where the faces where the foam contacts the jig have been sanded, sealed and lacquered to facilitate a smooth sliding action. For international orders, only kits can be supplied

This precision laser cut jig is built from Medite Premium grade 6mm MDF. It can be supplied in three options, fully assembled, pre-finished kit or in unfinished kit form, straight from the laser cutter. A pin is attached to a slider so that the foam can be rotated whilst pushing it up to the hot wire, and likewise, can be rotated whilst disengaging the foam from the hot wire. The available circles are from 2cm to 30cm diameter marked in 1cm steps . In the fully assembled option, the jig is sanded, sealed and the top face lacquered for a smooth sliding action. The pin is fitted and glued into the slider. The pre-finished option comes sanded for that clean look. In the kit option the parts are supplied straight from the laser cutter for self assembly and finishing. For international orders, only kits can be supplied
